The screen for the profile is made of polycarbonate resistant to UV radiation. It protects the LED strip from contamination. It can be frosted or transparent which allows you to select the desired light intensity (soft or bright light).
A square profile for a LED strip recessed in a stair railing is most often used for indoor lighting and namely for lighting of railings, stairs, ceilings, etc.
A sealed version of the profile can be used for illumination of outdoor architectural elements, such as steps and railings of open-air stairs, facades, etc.
